Everything You Need to Know About Lash & Brow Treatments

Do you pay attention to your eyelashes and eyebrows? Although they are not the most prominent features of the face, they add to the overall harmony of your facial aesthetics. Lash & brow treatments are the best way to enhance the appearance of your lash and brows, so they complement your other facial features.

This post covers everything you need to know about lash & brow treatments.

What are Lash & Brow Treatments?

Lash & brow treatments” is a broad term covering several procedures that improve the appearance of your eyelashes and eyebrows. At Glo Esthetics, we offer lifting and tinting procedures for the eyelashes and eyebrows.

Let’s expound on the lash & brow treatments we offer.

The Lash Lift Procedure

A lash lift is an all-natural, semi-permanent technique that gives you the illusion of larger, thicker eyelashes without using any leave-on chemicals or extensions. The natural lashes are thickened at the base, making them appear lifted and lengthened. If you have a lash lift, you won’t have to struggle with clumpy mascara or bothersome falsies.

The treatment should be short and painless, leaving you with eyelashes you can proudly bat around as glamorously as you like. It will appear as though your mascara was already on when you woke up.

How the Procedure Goes?

The procedure goes like this:

We use a silicone rod on your eyelids to help shape the lashes. Your eyelashes will begin to curl and cling to the rod with the aid of an adhesive.

Following the placement of the hair strands on the rod, we’ll use a lifting cream to accentuate the lashes’ curves and allow them to mold to the curling rod. The setting cream will keep the lashes in shape. You can enhance the effects of a lash lift by getting a lash tint.

How Long Do Lash Lift Results Last?

A lash lift typically lasts 6 to 8 weeks, though this might change depending on your lashes and the kind of lift you select. Your lash lift may last longer if you take good care of it.

For best results, follow our aftercare recommendations. After a shower, we advise brushing your lashes upward to maintain their form.

Lash Lift Potential Side Effects

You risk having an unsuccessful lash lift and being stuck with uneven, frayed lashes if the procedure is performed improperly or left on for an excessive amount of time. Since the results of your lash lift will persist for at least a month, it’s crucial to see a qualified, experienced aesthetician.

The Lash Tint Procedure

Consider tinting your eyelashes as having their roots touched up. The dye will darken your natural lashes, adding definition to your eyes. The dye is similar to what you would use on your hair, but it has been specially formulated to be safe near the eye region.

A lash tint procedure offers the additional benefit of quickly thickening lashes without needing several coats of mascara (which generally results in many clumps). It also lasts far longer than mascara.

The typical eyelash tint lasts for around a month. Your lashes will appear lighter and lighter over time, not because the color has faded but because the dye-coated lashes have gradually fallen out (as your lashes do naturally). Then another treatment is necessary.

You can do a few things to prolong the effects of a lash tint, so you get your money’s worth. By staying out of the sun and using gentle skincare products, you can extend the life of the tint.

Wear sunglasses to prevent the sun from damaging your eyelashes. Use a less harsh makeup remover, especially around the eyelashes, as the sun has a bleaching effect similar to chlorine in the water.

Lash Tint Potential Side Effects

Most people discover they are allergic after applying lash tint; a reaction is inevitable by that point. Some adverse effects of lash tinting include swelling, burning, inflammation, and watery eyes.

Brow Tint Procedure

Eyebrow tinting is a procedure that applies and blends semi-permanent dye into the brows. The goal is to make your eyebrows look more prominent and darker than usual. Tinting enhances your natural brows instead of microneedling small tattoos on your brows.

Tinting provides your brows some shape and substance if they’re sparse or you have fair hair.

Working with professionals is beneficial because they mix the dye to achieve the ideal shade, typically a few shades darker than your original color. Choosing the right shade is crucial; a tint that’s too light barely produces results, and one that’s too dark will look strange and unnatural.

How the Procedure Goes?

A foundation cream will be administered close to the brows to ease tension. We choose and mix the ideal color tint for you.

We use a spoolie brush to swirl the semi-permanent dye. The initial layer is applied in the direction of hair development. Then a second layer going the other way is used.

For several minutes, the brows will be covered in the dye. It takes 15 minutes to complete the process.

You should schedule an appointment with your technician every eight weeks to keep your brows feeling and appearing groomed. There are a few simple things you can do to maximize the effects of your tinting:

The dye needs time to settle onto your hair and will get a little darker if you wash or touch your brows after a tint.

Second, instead of using an oil-based makeup remover to remove your makeup, switch to a gel or cream-based one because they won’t strip the color from your hair.

Finally, avoid manually brushing your brows frequently. Although shaping your brows may make them look better, doing so will cause the hair to fall out, and the color will fade more quickly.

Brow Tint Side Potential Effects

The potential side effects of brow tinting include allergic reactions, skin or eye infections, irritation, or contact dermatitis. Again, it’s always best to consult and work with certified professionals.
